Stop the Bleed with Red Desert Rescue

Overview

This course is designed to instill confidence with lifesaving emergency medical skills. Learn the basics steps for how to best keep an individual alive until they can receive advanced medical care. You’ll begin by learning basic anatomy, how to use tourniquets and special dressings, packing wounds, and how to spot and treat shock.

Class will begin with a short lecture portion covering basic anatomy to create a core understanding of how blood works within the body. Following this, you will participate in hands-on practice and real-life emergency scenarios. Interact with different stations where you’ll practice tourniquets, pack wounds and apply dressings.

All instructors at Red Desert Rescue hold a current Stop The Bleed or EMS Instructor certification. In addition all instructors have 3 or more years practicing as a Paramedic obtained either through civilian EMS or military service. Each staff member at Modern Warriors has attended this class and can attest to it's high-quality instruction and training. This isn’t your average medical training class, it’s packed with interesting tips and interactive examples.

You are welcome to bring their own medical kits or gear to better familiarize themselves, while receiving feed back from instructors and advice for modification and contents. Pen and paper is recommended if you wish to take any notes on the material. Upon finishing the class, you will receive a certification in Stop the Bleed and have a full understanding of critical interventions and anatomy to react to real world traumas.
