COLT PYTHON 4″ BARREL (.357 MAGNUM) 93-95% 1978 MFG DATE

USED – EXCELLENT CONDITION (93-95%)

This is an EXCELLENT Condition (93-95%) Colt Python Double-Action Revolver chambered in .357 Magnum with a 4″ blued barrel.  Based on the serial number (SN: V20085) and data from Colt’s website, this revolver was manufactured in 1978.  This revolver was a trade-in from a very good customer of our shop.  We have sold numerous guns for this customer and each one has been meticulously cared for.  This revolver is no exception.  There are a few minor hairline scratch marks on the frame of the revolver.  They are so minor you cannot see them in the pictures.  You have to be up close to view them.  It also has some very minor holster rub on the bluing near the end of the barrel and a very faint cylinder ring that is hard to see unless you are up close to the revolver.  The wood grips are extremely clean but do have some very minor scuff marks on the bottom edge of the grip.   The item does NOT come with the original box or owner’s manual, but it does come with a generic black soft pistol case.  This revolver is being sold AS-IS. The Colt Python is a .357 Magnum caliber revolver manufactured by Colt Manufacturing Company of Hartford, CT and is sometimes referred to as a “Combat Magnum”.  It was first introduced in 1955, the same year as Smith & Wesson’s M29 .44 Magnum.  Now discontinued, the Colt Python was intended for the premium revolver market segment.  Some firearm collectors and writers have described the Python as “the finest production revolver ever made.  The Python is a double action revolver built on Colt’s large I-frame. Pythons have a reputation for accuracy, smooth trigger pull, and a tight cylinder lock-up.  They are similar in size and function to the Colt Trooper and Colt Lawman revolvers.
