The HK SP5K replicates the look and feel of the famous MP5 submachine gun in a more compact, semi-automatic civilian sporting pistol – with improvements that make it easier and more enjoyable to shoot. The HK SP5K gives you the chance to own one of the most iconic modern HK firearms without wrangling with NFA regulations or scrambling for the few available, very expensive MP5s available to civilian market. The K stands for “kurz” – “short” in German – because the HK SP5K’s barrel, receiver, bolt, and cocking handle are shortened to aid in maneuverability and concealability. The HK SP5K’s inherent stability and accuracy makes it an excellent choice for a home defense firearm.

Instead of a shoulder stock, the HK SP5K is equipped with an elastic “bungee” sling that snaps onto the sling swivel at the back of the receiver. Pushing forward against the sling stabilizes the pistol for less fatigue and better control during sustained fire.
